To receive financial assistance you must be fully admitted to an FIU degree program or be enrolled in a qualified certificate program.
Need-based programs
You may qualify for loans, grants, scholarships and employment opportunities offered for the specific purpose of helping you meet educationally related expenses. To receive need-based assistance you must complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov . FIU's code is: 009635. Need-based federal and state assistance is not available to international or ineligible non-citizens.
Merit-based programs
The College of Engineering and Computing offers a variety of merit-based fellowships, assistantships, and scholarships to qualified domestic and international students. These awards are highly competitive; hence, prospective students are urged to apply and submit all required records and scores as early as possible so they can be considered for these awards. The amounts of these awards vary depending on the type of the award.
The Department of Construction management and its corporate partners also offer a number of financial assistance opportunities. For additional information, visit: http://www.cm.fiu.edu/scholarships.htm
